Default Skill point use next weekend

I was happy to see that anything unlocked this weekend would remain unlocked in the future. I saw a mention of faction being used to unlock things, but I haven't seen any mention pve characters being able to spend skill points. I have about 100 of them laying around on 3 characters, anyone read anything about using those skill points?

Eh....nvm.

I do think we will be able to use the core classes this time around.

You will not be able to spend skill points on your existing characters to buy Factions skills. This is because your Chapter 1 RP character will not be able to access Cantha at all during the Preview Event. However, I'm almost certain that any characters we create for the event will have access to unlocks through the storyline.

From Guild Wars:Faction FAQ

Any skills or item upgrades you unlock for your PvP characters during the weekend will remain permanently unlocked on your account. However, new characters that you create on the continent of Cantha will be reset, and their inventories wiped, prior to the release of Guild Wars Factions.

Well no, I was talking about old pve, since that just talks about new pve.. which I understand them wiping because you start at a higher level. But didn't know if old pve would have access to skill trainers.

here tis

Players will be able to create new characters, including Assassins and Ritualists, on the new continent of Cantha. For beta testing purposes these new characters will start at a high level, with high-level weapons and armor, and will jump right into the middle of the Factions Campaign, where they will be able to play through four of the missions.
EDIT AGAIN

this covers it i think

Will I be able to bring my existing character to the continent of Cantha and play through the Factions Campaign missions?

Although such travel will be accessible after the release of Guild Wars Factions, during this beta testing weekend, we will not be supporting character travel between the continents of Tyria and Cantha, or between the Battle Isles and Cantha. Also, there will be no vault storage agents available on Cantha, so there will be no way to transfer items between characters.

I wonder, though... since you can unlock skills with faction... and trainers now will sell you any non-elite skill you've previously unlocked. Think the Tyrian trainers might sell unlocked Factions skills?

Yup

If you take your character from chapter 1 into 2 you can unlock anything you have previously unlocked through faction.

As stated in first event any skills unlocked will remain unlocked.
